Conclusion

The British success in the Seven Years War did not end the turmoil as changes in British colonial policy produced increasingly strident and eventually violent colonial resistance. As resistance turned to rebellion, an American consciousness and community developed that led to the creation of a national congress and the declaring of independence from Great Britain.
