Conclusion

Between 1824 and 1840, influenced by the persona of Andrew Jackson, American society experienced substantial development. The status of the presidency was strengthened. The political party system began assuming its present-day structure and organization. Expansion and internal improvements forged national unity though regional differences remained. American arts and literature also experienced substantial development.
